Bellamy Young Biography

Amy Maria Young famous as Bellamy Young is an American actress and producer. She was born on February 19, 1970 in Asheville, North Carolina, United States and was raised by her adoptive parents. She graduated in 1987 from Asheville School and later in 1991 from Yale University. She also attended the British American Drama Academy at Oxford University in England. She started her acting career in theatre and performed in number of Broadway shows. Her television acting career was started in 1995 when she made her debut in the television series Another World. She started her film acting career in 1999 with a uncredited role, Bellamy in the film Black and White. She is best known for playing the role of First Lady of the United States Melody “Mellie” Grant in the ABC drama series Scandal. She is currently single and a vegan.
